For over 30 years, volunteers across the country have come together to make Parkinson SuperWalk a success. Their involvement is instrumental in helping us empower the Parkinson's community. Whether that be lending a smiling face to welcome attendees, helping collect funds at our registration tables, or handing out water and refreshments to refuel participants, their efforts never go unnoticed. Volunteers also contribute to fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to celebrate the many successes of the Parkinson's community.
Volunteer opportunities vary based on the event location. Please fill out the volunteer application form, and we will forward applications accordingly to the local community organizers. A list of Walk locations can be found here.
Although all Walk locations are seeking keen volunteers, Vancouver requires additional volunteers due to its size. We are looking for outgoing and energetic individuals to volunteer at SuperWalk on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Ceperley Playground in Stanley Park.
The following volunteer opportunities are available:
Outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills and the ability to commit for the morning.
Please note that all registration volunteers must attend a virtual training session in late August (TBD).
Volunteers will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills by participating in a large-scale event. Confirmation letters for volunteer hours worked will also be available upon request.
Number of Volunteers Required: 60
3-5 hours total (depending on the position)
